Introducing Lionel Morel, 30th Keeper of the Sconestone

 

               

                                    Lionel Morel                        Is the Sconestone on a skiing holiday?

 

Lionel is from a tiny village on the north slope of the Alps of France, very close to Switzerland and to Italy.  Lionel is a free lance language teacher and has been teaching abroad for several years in Scotland, Egypt, Saudia Arabia and now in France.  Lionel says " I hope to be a good keeper of the Stone and I promise to do all my best so that the Stone brings kindness and happiness in France, Switzerland and many other places where I plan to go."

Soraidh le Clach Sgàin! Farewell to the Sconestone!After sharing some great times and excellent company with the Sconestone, I took it for its last outing with me as Keeper to the very south of Germany, the little town of Waldshut-Tiengen, where my very dear friends Linda and Wolfgang live.

I've been having a lot of fun showing the Stone to various groups I teach, of all ages and backgrounds, and to colleagues and friends, and seeing the reactions. Colleagues have also 'borrowed' it to use in class and to show to their own familes and friend
