Mr. Allan Stewart, Deputy Lord Provost of the City of Glasgow in Scotland greeted the Sconestone team and welcomed the stone into the city of Glasgow. The Sconestone team also represented the twin town of New Glasgow in Nova Scotia in presenting their new flag, new tartan and badges to the city of Glasgow.

The Antigonish Highland Society opened the 146th Antigonish Highland Games with a touching formal dinner at which Warren and I presented the Sconestone to Agnes MacLellan (100) as an Honourary Keeper of the stone. It was a very touching moment and I had to wipe away a couple of tears as Agnes was clearly overwhelmed by the moment. It was clearly evident that everyone present adore Agnes and gave her a heart felt ovation in her honour. Well done Agnes.
