THE SCONESTONE TEAM
Inspired by his wife Kari's acts of kindness to their small family, Warren MacLeod carved the Sconestone. Warren and Kari then founded the "Journey of Kindness" in their home province of Nova Scotia. Their good friend Lori soon joined them to round off the perfect team to make the "Journey of Kindness" a reality and spread the spirit of Kindness around the world from beautiful Nova Scotia.
Warren MacLeod:
Warren originally came up with the concept of the Journey of Kindness and carved the Sconestone from some South African Wonderstone. Warren was born to Scottish parents in Zambia, grew up as a boy in South Africa and has lived most of his adult life in Canada with short stays in Scotland and Mexico. He currently lives in Windsor, Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada.
Kari MacLeod:
Kari is married to Warren and was the original inspiration for the Journey of Kindness as Warren wanted to find some way to honour the small acts of kindness that Kari was doing on a continuous basis for their small family. Kari was born in Canada and grew up in Bobcaygeon, Ontario before meeting Warren and moving to several locations throughout Canada, Mexico and Scotland. And of course Kari lives with Warren and their twin daughters Skye & Iona in Windsor, Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada.
Lori Cox:
Lori became good friends with Warren and Kari after meeting at a children's soccer game and was soon captivated by the idea of the Journey of Kindness. It wasn't long before Lori jumped in to the project with both feet to apply her amazing marketing and public relations skills to helping launch the Sconestone on its Journey of Kindness. Lori originally hails from Defiance, Ohio in the United States and now lives in beautiful Windsor, Nova Scotia.
